Fix your eyes on Jesus

There was once a pregnant deer and she knew the time was coming to give birth. She found a secluded spot near a strong flowing river.
Just then the dark clouds gathered and a strong bolt of lightning fell on the forest and started a forest fire.

She looked to her left and found a hunter there ready to shoot her. She looked to her right and was surprised to find a hungry lion waiting to pounce on her.

Oh! the deer did not know what to do in this situation. There is a forest fire, a swift flowing river, a hunter and a lion. The deer had nowhere to go in the situation and there was no way out.

The Deer decided to focus on one thing she could focus on – giving birth to her child.

As she gave her full attention to giving birth to the child, the following things happened. There was a sharp bolt of lightning, the Hunter got disoriented and as he released the arrow, it zipped past the Deer and it hit the hungry Lion.

The Lion ran away from the place. At the same time, a strong shower of rain put the forest fire out.

Similar to the Deer, when you are caught in any situation, you should only focus on things that you can control.

This way like the pregnant Deer, let us learn to be in the moment and focus on Jesus Christ alone and rest our worries on Him.

Psalms 50:15 says “And call upon me in times of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me”.

In your life when you go through difficult times, fix your eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.

Repent our sins and submit our fears, worries and problems to Him. Remember His sufferings on the cross for us. When you focus on Jesus and focus on His voice, Like the sharp bolt of lightning deviated the Hunter’s attention and the rain came down to put out the forest fire, His blood will cover us, protect us and save us from any situation.
